At Golf Park, the midmonth has had a bee hive of activities with three events happening around the same time; The Ladies Open, League Match game with Sigona on the 15th July and Clubnite by Robert K. Okong’o Foundation on the 17th July 2018.
A day after the Ladies Open, Golf Park hosted Sigona Golf Club for a thrilling League Match on 15th July 2018. Both teams observed time and the competition started at the scheduled time. It was an interesting competition with both teams having brought in their strongest players.
In the end the Golf Park; The Warthogs emerged victorious having garnered 17 points plus 1 bonus point totaling to 18 points against Sigona’s 5 points. The presentation and after game party was steered by the Vice-Captain Sam Mbinda. Kudos Warthogs!
At the beginning of February this year, Hon Kaindi and Maurice Murila brought back the Sponsored Mondays Caddies Competition. This was a great initiative for it brought in other Members who have sponsored our caddies continuously. This is a positive move that we hope other able Members and Golfers will emulate. Any keen Kenyan will note that 90% of our local Pros came from the caddy ranks; this affirms our strong believe that the base of competitive golf in Kenya is in our caddies. We believe that these good players will one day hoist the Kenyan flag high in a future Kenya Open. We thank all the Sponsor and wish them prosperity in their endeavors!. Kenya has recorded heavy rainfall from March this year which can only be compared to the El Niño of 1997. In the month of April, the country received rainfall that has led many areas, including Nairobi, achieving more than 100% of their Long Term Means (LTM) for April. This has persisted up to date.
Despite these rains, Golf Park and Jockey Club are working very hard to make sure the golf course is playable and open to Members and the public every day.
Captain Feisal Lasker and his Vice-Captain Samuel Mbinda are also very busy making sure that club completions are still on. Last week’s clubnite on 15 th May 2018 which was well sponsored by Vice- Captain S. Mbinda confirms this. Overall winner, clubnite nine winner, lady winner and a guest winner all won prizes this day.On 22 nd May 2018, League Convener Dr. Musyimi Mbathi will be the sponsor with lots of prizes to be won plus a mbuzi at the sixth tee and diner at the nineteenth. Many more sponsorships are coming up; welcome all to Golf Park!

On Sunday the 4th of March 2018, Golf Park went out to Limuru Golf Club for their second match this year. The Conveners had done a great job of presenting over 20 teams both in the mains and the subsidiaries for that match.
The Warthogs from Golf Park gave their best where the mains garnered 4 point and the subs had 2. We are proud of our team, The Warthogs, well out great players.
Golf Park has been a hub for seasoned plus beginner lady golfers for quite a while. Great talents have emerged from Golf Park; most young girls in the country get their first feel of the game at Golf Park the home of golf.
The Ladies Section has had numerous Opens and Lady Captain Prizes since 2010 and has maintained this culture up to date. It is in this spirit that they have once again prepared a KLGU Golf Park Ladies Open on the 14th July 2018 led by the L-Captain Naomi Wakesho & her Vice Ruth Mathenge.
